Intellistaff has taken over StarMed.Two of my recruiters quit without me being notified. Since my experience with StarMed had been wonderful, I assumed the quality would persist.I had rented my house for an April 1 travel assignment in Phoenix. After no contact for two weeks, I called the company long distance from my home in Mexico. The receptionist stated that I had not been, "reassigned", and the job in Phoenix had been filled. My new recruiter couldn't seem to get an interview for me before other positions were "filled". I'm an APRN,CS with the best of references and work experience...with no job.Stay away from this company. Jayne

Have been stuck in a couple of assignments without any feedback. Lost 2 recruiters. Had to give up insurance for higher pay scale.
Extended at a hospital and now no work, but I'm still on a contract obligation. Care to Figure this one out? I don't recommend the company.

My recruiter was wonderful ... at first. After ther contract was signed, I couldn't get hold of her often--most of the time I talked with her associates. I think Dixie would make a good used car salesman (best way I could explain it). I also had a problem that they tried to steal a contract from another company that I was interviewing with and was told that I was lying about it. I was later apologized to. For housing I ended up paying a copay because I didn't want to live outside the city next to 2 sets of railroad tracks and 4 miles from the airport and 15 minutes from downtown---PLEASE!!! I was taking a poor paying job in New Orleans--I wasn't going to NOT live downtown!!

when intelistaf took over starmed, all nurses were forced to take a paycut, now this agency has the lowest payscale in town, lousy feedback, other nurses actually told "if you dont like it, go somewhere else..." and they did...!

Asked me to agree to a "binding" contract over the phone but when the contract arrived it was all wrong and one sided. They wanted $300 for a housing deposit...to stay in a hotel! The housing was totally awful, bottom of the barrel hotel. A week into the contract they called me(left a message on my machine) and told me and my boss I had failed my backgrounc check (a lie) and gave me 2 days to get out of the hotel and turn in my rental car, no airfare home, no paycheck. Talk about scary... I had a discussion with the unit manager and found they were losing money on the contract so when they found another nurse to fill the position cheaper they fired me. I finally had to have a lawyer call them. Thank god I had a copy of my background check with me. 1 hour later they called with a diferent tune. Got home ok and got paid for my time but it took 10 years off my life. I have never been treated so bad.

TRAVELER BEWARE OF INTELISTAF.
How easy it is to go from my original rating of 10 to the worse rating you can give. After three assignments with Intelistaf my last assignment has caused me to give up travel nursing. Intelistaf has taken money out of my pay, refuses to pay hourly wages because the hospital ended the contract 3 weeks before completion, is not paying mileage or housing deposit. Every cent I have received has been a fight. When I spoke with the Director Jennifier Stamp in an attempt to get my pay I told her I would go in the chat rooms to warn other nurses her comment was " I am not worried about the chat rooms we are a large company." There are many travel companies think twice before you use this one and then go to another.

Worked last year for approximately 6 months. Had a great staffer in Wisconsin. Then she quit. Cut backs had her doing everything.
Signed up with the Twin Cities 150 miles away and was cancelled from one end to the other. Gave me bad reviews, when I cancelled on them once to go with another company that actually gave me the hours

don't give travel up front so they can keep it at the end of the contract along with your last paycheck. had to fight for everything. had to pay for a terrible health insurance policy. that i had to pay a fortune for doctor visits in addition to paying for the insurance. pay was terrible. i fired my first recriuter and they gave me a punk chad blackson as a second. no customer service toward nurses. they give some lousy scrubb instead of taking care of the real issues like everything mentioned above. this a a company that you stay away from.

My recruiter is awful, pathetic and a liar. I would not recommend this company if you where my worst enemy. Traveling with them again the polar ice caps would have have to melted. My paycheck was late 6 times out of a 13 week assignment, a little hard to take being 1,000 miles away from home. My housing was substandard. Unresponsive and down right rude and I am from the East(guess we have the patent on rude). I have told everyone about them and hope no one has to go through what I had to.

rude, pushy recruiter, never would call back when i asked her to, but called all the time when i asked her not to, freaked out when i asked for a raise, never returned phone calls, nor did her assistant after awhile, stalked me at work, yelled at me on the phone, my floor manager had to get involved to get her to leave me alone, i'm not allowed to go back to that facility because of my recruiter, the person who referred me still hasnt gotten the referral bonus, it took intervention for me to get my bonuses, i got hung up on more often than i got called, horrible customer service, and since the company merged with msn, its gone to crap, then after i left, and went to a different company, another recruiter called me, and when i said after the way you treated me you expect me to come back, that one hung up on me too. . .thats great for business
