everything
work 48 hours per week.
poor management.
poor communication between staff.
overcrowded
nurse/pt. ratios do not work
holding pts in ER (up to 15)
not enough MD's
overworked
Risk of Valley Fever
2nd worst air quality in the US (after LA)
ER does not have proper equipment for critical patients.
probably 75% of ER staff is travelers

Positive aspects of the listing (pros):
primarily phillipino & indain staff most are helpful
Negative aspects of the listing (cons):
too much paper, too much floating
beware, so called stepdown unit is heavy on float (er - very bad there). sd ratios are good, but facility is fanatical with paper. suggestion:resolve your capabilities before taking contract, thick skinned, strong back & legs. lots of overtime available, not much else to do. supervisors are regimental about clocking in/out plus time sheets... if you don't care for rain - ever, it's okay.
