Which is the best online nursing program?

I'm looking for an online nursing program with connections/hands on practicum. Which one is the top and most recognized by future employers?

Employers do not care where you get your education. They care that your nursing license is clear and that you have good nursing work experience. The employers who do care about where you obtain your education are the ones that do not hire a person who attended an online program.

No difference really. When you graduate from either program, your paperwork goes forward for you to sit for the same boards, then you get the same license. The only difference, and this is major, is that a hands on program should offer better instruction in clinical, but that is not necessarily the case all the time.

Then you have the Excelsior Graduates who have been banned from sitting for boards in many states because their clinical training was found to be substandard......You really do have to be careful which program you pick. Always check with yourstate board to see if the program you are looking at has approval in your state!

These changes were political in nature. The complaints about the clinical aspect of the EC program are bogus to begin with. EC offers no clinical placements at all. EC is a testing program, not a teaching program. People who choose EC are supposed to be aware of the true nature of the EC program and not expect what EC does not offer. Almost all states accepted the EC program in the past. The true time to object to the EC program philosophy was from day one, not decades later when political pressure is being applied.

Yea, you do need to be careful which program you pick. I have spoke to some other students who have had a hard time because of the poor choices they made.
