I am seeking input on a matter. I told an employer I had completed my masters (I have not) got a job based on that deceit. Had the job less than 2 weeks and felt so bad, resigned. This was after the ifnormation was to the board tht I had a masters. I provided my resignation to the board (ethical reasons) and to the employer. Now I am faced with do I self report the fraud to the board or wait to see if the employer reports me. (they can let it drop. I know that they created documents for the board and then tried to destory them when asked for the originals.)
I told them that I would not supply any more documents than were presently in my file. Now what?

Welcome to the site. This post says more than your other post on the same subject, but it is confusing. If I were you I would seek legal counsel. If the Board has wind of this, and it might from the employer as well as from what you say, you will have problems that you will need an attorney to help you with. Check out the website of The American Association of Nurse Attorneys to find an attorney familiar with problems related to nursing. Good luck.
Thanks for the information. I did get an attorney to help me since I do want to self report. My other concern is that I know they employer provided false documentation to the board during the visit and probaly got caught.
Are you in some type of MSN program at present?
Was the job based on MSN credentials?
