Injury Lawyer New To Site- I am interesting in nurses views on things

Hello from Chicago-

I am an injury lawyer that concentrates in representing victims of nursing home abuse and neglect. The vast majority of the time my cases proceed against the nursing home and / or physician entirely--so I am not interested in bringing any lawsuits against nurses!

In most of my cases, I remain impressed with the level of professionalism and commitment the attending nurses have to patient care. The majority of 'problems' are due to systemic issues at nursing homes or hospital.

I've seen quite a few commercials regarding nursing homes and loved ones; sounds like you'd have insight on what seems to be the most common complaint?

You can gain a great deal of insight by including nurses in your investigations of medical malpractice cases. That is for sure.

However, you need to be frank. In that many of your cases are built upon the actions or inaction of the nursing and other staff in facilities.

Do you not often implicate nurses as a way to get employers on the "hook" and make the facilities responsible because they have deeper pockets than individual nurses?

Perhaps you could offer ways for nurses to protect themselves from liability, as employers are notorius for scapegoating us.
