    Nursing Message Boards

Does anyone know of any active nursing message boards? Thank You.
I've seen allnurses, it's kinda hard to penetrate their clicks.

ummmm... you're on a nursing message board. Yes, there are other boards that are more active than this one, but I think you'll find that this board allows for more freedom to express opinions openly.

ummmm...yes I realize that, but nobody seems to be around? I will check this board daily hoping it will pick up.

I'm looking for an active nurses message board but not all nurses.

Anyone have any thoughts re allnurses?

we go through our ups and down- some days are busier than others, and certain forums get more traffic. We have a lot of traffic from travelers (like me!), because unlike some "other" nursing sites, we allow people to post about their experiences (good & bad) with different hospitals or travel companies, something that is an excellent resource for travelers, but that that "other" site will not allow...

My opinion of that site is... yes, they get more traffic, but many posts are edited to death by moderators/admins, and I agree, there are a lot of cliques- something you won't find here.

True, we don't have the traffic 'that other site' has, SeasonedRN, but with your help, perhaps we can make this a more active site. Any ideas are welcomed. Of course, mentioning us to your nursing friends and co-workers would be a plus! We'd love to have them.

I agree with Amanda, and can back her up about 'that other site'. Yes, I was over there, and many posts have gotten hacked to bits. Also, have noted several threads pulled, as opinions 'differed' from what others wanted to hear/read. I promise that will NOT happen here, unless the post gets waaaay out of hand (even after a nice warning).

Any other comments or suggestions humbly accepted...

We try....oh, we try! I figure everyone has their own opinion, and we all learn from each other. What's so hard about that?

Yeah, can you believe they will actually give members an "infraction" on that other site for "publicly disagreeing with a moderator"??? That's just a little too much like a dictatorship for me.....
