Apparently the hospital don't care about of safety as long as they make money, if it wasn't for the bottom line they would hire more nurses. After you win, they will let all NA's go, then they will require BSN for RNs that way they can still say , well we can't find any RNs!

The KNA has been mad a poster child for the ongoing union disagreements between the UAN/SEIU and NYSNA. they have been misguided and could have been settled this contract without the turf wars.

It's too bad what went on, and hope they settle soon. NYSNA has left the UAN because of the affiliation with the SEIU. the NYSNA war is personal, like they make all their wars, it's never about the membership, it's always about competition and it most certainly is always personal.

THe way they treat nurses will soon evolve in your state for the better, just voice out your rights. Use to work in several states in ED and found out California got the best unions out there for nurses and it took them countless strikes to attain that status...GO!! Nurses I've also attended this workshop in Bayarea where we "JUDGE" our workplace. It's a good feeling "Rating" your nursing workplace check out this website: Where nurses evaluate their workplace.
