BTW - Welcome to the site. I just saw your profile always nice to meet another nurse who has done Psych - a challenging area of nursing to be sure. I currently do psych in the community setting along with working with disabled adults in the community. No walls or nurses station between me and the patients.

Although in the community we do not call them patients we call them consumers!

    Thanks!
Working in mental health was the most interesting and rewarding field. I especially enjoyed working in substance abuse. I just happened to get my first job on a substance abuse unit! I found the patients to be so nice and needing a lot of love, which I gave them. I didn't mean to come across in a way that sounded prejudice and I apologize to you and all recovering people. Please accept my apology!
