I'm totally up for that, except I am an LVN. I worked for a doctor years ago, and really enjoyed it. Thanks for the idea. I get stuck in a rut about job possibilities sometimes. At heart though I am a geriatric nurse. I love my elderly folks. Not everyone does, and I have come to realize that it is a gift from God that I enjoy it so much. It doesn't even seem like work to me, just an honor to take care of everyone's grandparents, you know? Anyway, thanks!

Did all my tpapn paperwork with the DON today. Should start work on Monday. I am so excited! I do want to share with others looking for a job that I did not walk in off the street and get hired. I have been proactive for months ahead of time, networking with former colleagues and employers, scouting out possible jobs. It took a lot of time and effort, but I got this job. So don't give up. Even if you are not approved to go back to work yet, you can be proactive and start looking. All by the grace of God, Kris.

He was rather vague, but he mentioned"risk" and background checks as reasons he couldn't' t let me work there. I don't have a criminal record, not even a parking ticket. I suspect he heard something from a previous employer. Which is totally unethical, but I would rather not work with an admin that is close minded and uninformed. It makes me sad, but I am glad I had not started working there yet. That would have really been a blow.
As far as the contract being breached, I agree. However, it all comes down to the sins of my past catching up to me. If I didn't want these consequences, I should have thought more about my actions. Besides, I'm just not an attorney kind of gal. Not my thing.

Regards to last place of employment, they can only be asked if previous employee is eligible for rehire. Answer should be yes or no, nothing else.
