Any facility in their right mind should. Ours does. What i don't get is how many people post on Facebook when they're assigned, what doctor, etc. as though consequences for doing so doesn't apply to them.

Yes...I do practice responsible use of social media, and I use it as little as possible!... and I agree that there are still a lot of professionals who are not adhering to this policy!

We have no rules or regulations at my facility. Many use different apps. for drugs and patho's, which I think is a great idea. I am still very old-fashion and pull out Mosby's or Taber's if I have questions. When it comes to "social media," such as facebook and twitter, that is an absolute NO for me.

logging in to facebook or twitter accounts at work would really distract you on your duties. I think facilities are prohibiting it too..

    Hi
Along with everyone else, nurses are blogging, tweeting, texting and exploring new ways of connecting with others and the world at large. Benefits of social media for nurses: Nurses can learn about industry trends and breakthroughs, distress after a long shift, engage with health professionals and patients
