    Not Happy

I started a new job 7 months ago on a PCU. I've been an Rn for 25 years mostly Med Surg, and traveld for years and got tired of it.
It'a not what I thought it would be,nor told in the interview what it was really going to be. Instead, It's like a pysch. unit with multiple problems, as with drug over doses and alcohol withdrawal and on top elderly with confusion to rule out neuro problem. The suicides risks get 1:1 sitter but the other pt.swho are out of control have just us, and there are not enough of us. It is a disaster for me. Overwhelming.
It is not satisfying at all and I don't want to go back . I only have me no bills, no house, just a dream to have a decent job , I used to travel but got tired of that and now I think I should go back on the road to Med/surg for my sanity.
Any input will help me get back on track.

Just do what you think is the best for you...don't push yourself doing things you don't like because it will make your life miserable!Good luck to you

Be yourself Kdog and everything will just work out fine. If you are happy with what you do, the universe itself will align all the good things to you. Stay positive.
