Welcome to the site.
Hello everyone,
My name is Adam and I have been an RN for two years in an ED in orlando, fl. Before that I was a paramedic for 3 years. I feel like I am ready to try travel nursing! My girlfriend is also an RN for 7 years and we will be going together. I have already applied with fast staff and PPR. My question to all of you who have experience traveling is: What are some more good companies I can sign up with?? Also maybe some good places to start out. We are up for anything. Any input would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Don't know about those 2 companies. Fast staff pays well, so I hear, but I think you have to work 4- 12 hours shift per week. ER has the most amount of jobs for travel. You can go pretty much wherever you want. Keep searching companies and make sure the contract has a guarentee of hours. This way you get paid if you get called off.
For ex. I had my last week of an assignment cancelled due to low census and I got paid.............................................. ..........and was allowed to stay in the housing.
I am also looking into finding a good company and recruiter, I checked into Fast Staff and they did seem to have the most up front good pay, but heard from an experienced traveler that first timers shouldnt do 48 hours. It really sucks up your free time and is stressful. Do you have recommended Companies and does anyone get the tax implications/benefits for per diem and housing deduction from your hourly rate? A bit confusing to get?
48 hours is rough. expecially when you only get 1 day off in between at times. I liked RN Network, and Medical Solutions. both recruiters were great and they eplain all the ta stuff. Medical Solutions has less jobs tho. I will private message you recruiters names. give them a call.
