Advanced Care Pediatrics, a provider of pediatric home care services and private-duty nursing within the Atlanta-metro area, is now accepting referrals as a participating provider in the Georgia Pediatric Program (GAPP). GAPP is a program for medically fragile children, in which services are provided in childrens' own homes and communities as an alternative to placing patients with needs for long-term care into an inpatient medical care facility. ACP is currently and continually hiring and training qualified RNs and LPNs to provide care for Georgia's medically fragile children in the comfort of their own home.

Since its inception, Advanced Care Pediatrics has invested heavily in the development of training materials and a patient safety program for private-duty nursing to ensure that its clinical staff is well equipped and that the patients they care for receive top quality medical attention at all times. This training program focuses the clinical staff on attention to every detail in providing excellent care for medically fragile children and the unique high tech skills their care requires. Each caregiver employed by ACP is trained on the standard policies and procedures for private-duty nursing as well as a proprietary continuous improvement and patient safety program by Afterburner, Inc. called Flawless Execution(SM). This program helps medical staff develop and strengthen their set of core competencies and supports the multi-disciplinary approach that ACP takes when working to address families' needs.

"ACP takes a patient centric approach to care," said Chris Goodwin, CEO of Advanced Care Pediatrics. "This seems to line up well with GAPP's direction and we feel that our additional training and patient safety program will assist with this philosophy."
