    Recommendations re career change

OK I am ready for the onslaughter. I am burned out. Ready to leave traditional staff nursing to all the young private college graduates. Let the facebook, texting younger crowd who graduated in 18 months at a cost of 40,000-100,000 $$$ have it. Work to cover when your kids are ill, on holidays, miss a few important family functions, blah, blah, blah..... I have a new passion I want to develop and it's protection and care of the elderly. I have found that I am the one who goes to bat when they come in, would like to feel the passion that I used to feel. Not interested in ECF's, not thinking that you can really change the system there. Talking more about an advocate. Any suggestions? I just want to make a difference, do something that matters. Please no bashing.... If it's not positive, please don't respond.

Ombudsman would be an excellent avenue to pursue for your interest in protection and advocacy for the elderly.
