A new decade it is as time marches on. Seen any good movies lately? Watched Avatar in 3D and really enjoyed it. Special effects are amazing, as well as a good storyline. If, you look deep a correlation can be noted in the movie in comparison to how the Native American Indians were so wrongly treated. Anyway, on a scale of 1-5 I give Avatar 5 stars. I believe two more sequels to follow.

Hope everyone has a prosperous new decade.

Good morning, Soldiernurse. Yeah, I slightly resemble the picture right now.

Honestly, I haven't seen a movie in ages. There are several reasons why: The prices are obscene (!), none have really appealed to my 'I wanna see that' senses, my work schedule, my husbands work schedule..... You get the general idea. We have bought a DVD or two at SunCoast lately, though.

Have you heard about all the hoopla behind Avatar? The poop is that there are 'hidden agendas' behind it. Heck, the same could be said about the Lord of the Rings books. (Tolkien's reference to the East was about Germany.....)

How's everything going down your way? I am still feeling pretty run down here, but will be dragging self off to work later on.

Hope things go much better for everyone this year.

Hidden agendas, yes as I mentioned the movie had a deep meaning side to it, so to speak. That is a big part as to why I enjoyed the movie so much. Takes more than special effects to rate a good critique from me. ;-)

I do NetFlix so we don't see movies at the theater as often as in the past. At least living in a military town we have the military discount for the evening shows.

BTW, my L shoulder is a pain in the shoulder (poor attempt at humor). Trying to be extra careful considering this is third post-op (2nd revision). Sux!

Wow! SN.. your shoulder is not better.. Sorry to read.. Hmm!

Avatar folks have different views about the indigenous ppl in the movie.. Someone reference it to Vietnam.. The plight of Blacks.. i really doubt that I will see it..

i'm being lazy right now.. I want to go out later..

I am also being lazy, considering I need to get carcass into gear.

Back to movies for a moment: Maybe it's me, but all the remakes turn me off. I looked at the trailers for the new Day the Earth Stood Still, and felt that nothing could ever top Michael Rennie's version. Anne Heche watched the original Psycho, and every movement is exactly like the original show. I don't know anymore.

Netflix would be a waste here: when do I have time to watch things? My schedule is quite possibly changing, AGAIN! Will have to see.

I just dragged carcass in the door. Sheesh.

Would love to watch a show, but husband is asleep. Too tired to pop one in the ol' computer.

It is brutal out there, weather-wise. I want it above 20 degrees, thank you.
