Pay rate in Los Angeles and has anyone worked at Kaiser West LA????

So I got a job offer for an CCU/ICU position at Kaiser West LA and was surprised at how low the pay rate is. I know California pays time and a half for over 8 hrs, but even with that the blended pay works out to be only $28/hr. Is this normal for positions out in California right now?

Also, has anyone ever had any experience in Kaiser West LA hospital?

Southern CA has lower pay rates than northern CA. Perhaps the larger employment pool or the proximity to the border have something to do with that. Don't know. The best pay rates are in the San Francisco Bay area, but it is next to impossible to get a job there. It is generally this way all the time. If you want better pay, then you will need to consider finding work in the Bay area.
