    Nurse/Patient Ratio

Just wondering what city and hospital you are working at, the specialty you are working in and the patient to nurse ratio on your unit. Thanks

    Red face Re: Nurse/Patient Ratio

Last job was PACU, in AL, 2:1, sometimes with a dedicated charge, more often, charge having patients as well. One of my better experiences, as we actually had a unit secretary most days, and always had at least one transporter. Lots of standard protocols in place, as well, makes things much easier.

In the ER in San Diego, 1:3-4 (which is VERY good for the ER!)
