    forensic nurse

I was thinking of getting a forensic nurse certificate.
What are my chances of gaining employment as a forensic nurse? Anyone heard/know anything of forensic nursing?
    thanks

I just took a Forensic Nursing class. It was one of the most interesting classes that I have had. There are web sites out there that offer certifications.

I am to start a class at Kaplan University.
I was just wondering what the chances of actually getting a job as a forensic nurse were. They say you can make a lot more money as a forensic nurse. And yes it does sound very interesting.

There's all kinds of information out there on Forensics Nursing. If you enjoyed watching "Quincy ME" way back when or CSI nowadays, it is quite interesting and involving.

    can someone help me???

I am new to this forum and the idea of becoming a forensic nurse. i am old, but i finally have the opportunity to get a degree and pursue a career that interests me. i am currently working on my associate's and would like to know if anyone can tell me the best steps to moving forward in forensics. most of the hands on forensic schools/programs i have researched say the prerequisite is to be in law enforcement. i am not opposed to going that route, but i am too old to be considered. my associate's will be in criminal justice, unless someone can tell me a better path...any suggestions?
    thx, in advance!
i think i'm gonna pull my hair out if i don't figure something out soon!!

    Re: forensic nurse

I am really interested in forensic nursing.

I live in the Cincinnati, OH area and I was wondering if anyone knew how to or who to get in contact with to become one?

Is it a good idea to get a certificate online? Or find a college to go to? I am currently in a nursing program at a local community college, but I wanted to do forensics.

    Is the job opportunity good?

If anyone has any information please let me know!
