    What Attracted You To The Field of Nursing? I was 17 and that was so long ago—I am not sure I remember! I have always loved everything medical—it seemed a natural way to pursue the medical field. In those days women were nurses—and we wore caps and all white!

    Nurse wearing the old white uniforms with Mini skirts back in the late 60s early 70s. I miss mini skirts.

    First got the idea to become a nurse as a phlebotomist watching the nurses do their thing. Saw them every morning doing patient care, got the idea in my head that "I could do that too"

    Yeah but most of the facilities won't let you show your tats anymore - I'm not really a tattoo person but some of them are quite artistic and well done. The last facility I worked at had a nursing superviser who ran around with these great big bandaids to make people cover their tats. It was really stupid looking. Instead of people seeing a tattoo patient's were left to wonder if their nurse had some kind of infectious disease under all that.

    And in California where folks are pretty liber al about these things
