to the OP hang in there, and maybe if its gets rediculous look for another job, it may be the envirnment, like someone said before one bad apple ruins the whole bunch, that bunch may already be too rotten to be saved!
just go in do your job and leave it all behind when you are done, dont let them get to you, its their loss afterall, they could be missing out on a great co-worker/friend....

i know what you mean,I have been a CNA for 8 years. All i have to say is you come across some bad nurses just like you come across some bad CNA's. I have to say thier our some really good nurses, out there. It seems to be the ones that have worked the floor as an aid themselves. So the more you work as a CNA the more you will learn. I promise

I've been working as a STNA for about a year while in school and most of the nurses I've worked with are kind. I work in a nursing home, which I've heard is a lot different than a hospital in terms of what STNA/CNA's have to do.

It feels good when a nurse appreciate's me or values me as a person and worker. I think your focus should be on the patients and observing the nurses work to learn from them. Try not to take it too personally when a nurse fails to thank you or acknowledge you. You may be dealing with a nurse who is burnt out or does not like his or her job.

A quick add-on...I'm curious to know how other CNAs here percieve LPNs vs. RNs. Based on my working experience, it seems like many LPNs are more helpful than the RNs and treat me with more respect. With an LPN I usually feel like a co-worker, whereas when I'm with an RN I feel like a pee-on. What do you guys think?

My thought is that it's really more about the person. Your experiences have been that way, but that's not true of everyone. I was always told and taught by my professors and RNs I was with to appreciate the CNAs (I'm an RN with no CNA experience). I know you all make my life easier.
