You're right; I won't answer you about the "down South" because I'd have to draw you a map, since you obviously don't have the G2 Intel north of your shoulders to figure it out.

The next time you talk with any of the alleged soldiers you allegedly take care of, call them baby-killers to their face -- again; it's something you have a severe lack of knowledge about, having never served.

I'm not confirming, nor denying certain incidents happened almost 40 years ago; but for those who were not there, choose to believe the media -- but, it does confirm the lack of intelligence of one believing what they read and hear.

Yep; I sleep just fine and have for many years -- I have all of the answers to your childish questions; I just have the maturity not to answer you here.
Why would I want to be "down South" with you. I believe it's a racist comment and that's why you won't explain it.

I never once said I take care of Vietnam vets. Another ass umption on your part?

So I can't believe atrocities happen in war. Now that wouldn't be very logical on my part would it. Oh wait you already know I'm not logical.

You've lost this debate and you can't stand that an illogical woman has shown you that.

You might be a woman. You've changed your mind you said :endof:

Just to appease an old fat illogical woman. Tell me one more time what America has gained from these wars?????????

    Onetraveler,

I am not going to allow you to attack any longer.

If you continue this line of discussion, you will be banned.

If you can't debate in a civil manner without insulting people, then you will need to find somewhere else to debate.

Excuse me??? Did you read the whole thread. Travelagent work for you is that it.. Or is it because he's a "guy".. Or you're a Bushie?

You really need to be fair here. But as usual it's a control issue. Don't bother................. You're forum is a farce anyway. NO different than Delphi or All Nurses.

You don't want real debate or information. All you want is to make $$$$$$$$$...

You really have NO IDEA what you are talking about.

I don't even know travelagent, so no, he does not work for me.

As for him being a guy, I'm not biased either way based on gender. As for me being a "Bushie" well it's none of your damn business, but I'll tell you anyway. I voted for him twice. The second time was for lack of a better option. I no longer am a supporter.

It's obvious that you have plenty of bias dictating your responses.

It has nothing to do with control. It's called MAINTAINING CIVIL DISCUSSION.

As far as the making money comment goes, that's none of your damn business either, but this site operates for reasons that aren't based on money and it would generate revenue no matter how many people like you that have to be banned because they can't be civil.

Evidently you can't see that SOME PEOPLE can form opinions objectively, without letting outside influences or bias get in the way. You seem to be unable to do that because the first thing you do is ASS U (I'll leave out the me part because you aren't making an ass of me) that I am biased because he's a guy, I'm a Bushie, and I have some need to "CONTROL" things here.

I'll let you in on a little secret. I've only banned ONE POSTER of over 21,000 for reasons other than SPAM. You may be the second. Control over people's opinions is not something I believe in.

If you want to disagree, that is fine.

Just do it without insulting and attacking people. THAT IS ALL I AM ASKING. If you can't do it, then you'll have to move on. It is that simple.

That's the 2nd time you've tried to make this into a racial thing; knock it off and grow up -- the Admin has spoken, and I agree with him ... I too voted for both Bushes; like I've tried to explain, NO PRESIDENT can please each and every citizen, no matter what he does; go back in your history book and recall what President Lincoln said about that.

There's alot of things the current Administration has done that I disagree with; but it doesn't change the fact that we, the citizens, voted him into Office because he made far better sense than a "flip-flopper" ... at least he's kept his zipper closed and hasn't embarrassed the American public with lewd actions.

    Welcome to the forum.

I apologize that your intro thread turned into a political debate along with all that ensued.

    Re: Who I am

Hmm, interesting thread you've got going on here. Onetraveler, I have an answer to your question. To give a little background - I marched in the streets for months in a futile attempt to prevent/end the Iraq War, was on the verge of going to Iraq to be a human shield, ended up in jail for peacefully protesting the Republican National Convention, and participated in radical actions that I won't openly discuss. In the end, I realized that it didn't matter to other people what I thought was right or what was the truth. I ultimatley accepted that we all have to look out for number one. Those of us who don't are martyrs, but to expect everyone to be one is to ask them to be more than human. We didn't invade Saudi Arabia or Afghanistan because it wasn't in the best interests of those in power in this country. It's about lining the coffers of those in charge, and I can't blame them, because why should they care about other people when it would just compromise their power and position? No, honestly. Why should they? They're not obligated to make everyone happy; they just need to make sure that they and their loved ones are taken care of. It sucks for the rest of us, but it makes me less mad knowing that I'm getting screwed over when I realize that politics is a more complicated version of natural competition. It's eat or be eaten, unless there's the opportunity for both parties to gain more via mutual cooperation. Well, W doesn't really need the people anymore, so it serves his interests better to do what he feels he should to get ahead - including lie, cheat, misunderstand, dodge the question, make up new words, pose in a staged Thanksgiving photo shoot serving a fake turkey to the troops, talk about how the "enemy never stops thinking of ways to hurt us and neither do we"...

WOW!!!!!!!!! I don't know what to say about the responses to my posting. So let me respond this way. I want to be a nurse to help people. I am not stupid and I will not let someone talk me into something without doing my research. I am an adult that has been living on my own for a while now, so I know how to take care of myself THANK YOU VERY MUCH! I want to be a military nurse because I want to help the soldiers. I am not saying what my political beliefs are because it is no one’s business but mine, however I will say that the reason I want to be a military nurse is for the soldiers' and to serve my country. In my opinion if you don't like what is going on where you live, then move! I know some soldiers that don't agree with us being in Iraq, but they are over there doing their job and putting their life on the line everyday, so that hopefully there will never be another 11 September 2001, and so that they can hopefully prevent thousands of innocent Americans from being killed again. If you talk to many soldiers, they will tell you that the main reason why they keep doing what they do is to help one another. One of the Army values (and I am pretty sure the other branches have the same one) is to never leave a fallen comrade. I know that I might be sent to Iraq and put in danger, but at the same time if you have driven in any big city, you can be endanger from any idiot driver that's on the road (or anywhere for that matter). I much rather die knowing I am trying to help a soldier, or anyone for that matter, get back to their family than to die because some idiot doesn't know how to drive or some other stupid way people lose their lives. Nursing is a profession where you have to have passion for what you are doing and if you don't, then get out of it. I have always appreciated our military and what they stand for. I hope people calm down some and realize that no matter what your political beliefs are that you still need to support our men and women that are coming back from Iraq and Afghanistan. I would hate to see the soldiers' treated the way they were back in the sixties. Anyways, I thought it only fair that I had my say since my posting is the one that started all of the problems.:houra:
