My experience is if you are a person who gets the job done with minimal whining (we all have bad days) and make an effort to get to know your co-workers it doesn't matter what you look like. Nursing is hard enough without making it a petty popularity contest. CDC regulations about fingernails and such make it hard to be a fashion plate at work and I can only imagine what a pain Big Breasts would be at the end of 12 hours of backbreaking lifting and turning patients. If you want to meet "beautiful" nurses and doctors and have sex in exam rooms then I suggest you become and actor because it really doesn't happen that much in real life.Originally Posted by hsieh

Thanks Happygrl...............your the best thing since............since.. Pez? no wait! 4play! No! Charles Engals! ( see: Micheal Landon ) lol... You my boo-boo!
on a serious note, I really believe that in an exhaustive and mundane environment, that the last thing an overworked charge-nurse ( lets say male), wants to see, is a more-overworked, unattractive, burnt out nurse with postal-like tendancies, and a vile attitude towards anything that has to do with unsolicited flirting... lol..
He's gonna pick the hooters-type chick who ran, stumbled, and landed in a pair of scrubs, and might even be seeking a overworked, hormonally raging intern with nothing to lose except his rage of content for the innately unrealistic working conditions, and 50% of his mortgage.......AND GIVE HER* the 2 patient to 1 nurse ratio!![]()
Ok .. Ok.. I know Im reaching... Aint I?
i disagree tiredofthesystem. what type of enviroment are you talking about anyways? a hospital? there are other places to work. nothing stays the same forever. if a nurse is getting special treatment it won't last forever. there is so much turnover in hospitals nothing is going to remain the same. where do you get these ideas from? hugh heffner?
