Good for you, Presbyterian was a good place to work the nurses were real nice and fun.. meanwhile keep looking for a contract. Presbyterian does use travlers at times.
Thanks for the pep talk! I did find a per diem jig at Presbyterian which I think will be a nice way to try it out without being forced into a 13 week contract. My husband and I are doing alot of traveling and expecting a ton of visitors so the per diem schtick will give me the flexibility that I need and want. But you were right.....managers really don't want to spend the time or can't or whatever it is, but spend the time working on interpersonal skills. It's also been a very steep learning curve with the travel agencies. After going back and forth for a couple of weeks they said that they had a per diem spot....WTF!!! I could have used a per diem position a couple of weeks ago. Go figure. Thanks for all of the info!
