Hi , thanks for the welcome letter Cougar. I have been a nurse for 22 yrs. I am certified in psychiatric and mental health nursing, traveled for 7 mos and loved it. Unfortunately, it does not work out for family life right now, but as soon as my daughter is out of HS, I'm on the road again.

Just want to say hello to everyone. Don't know how I have missed this forum this long. My wife and I are both travelers. Nursing for over 25 years and 7 years traveling. Criticl care and open heart recovery. Hope to chat wit some of you soon.

Hey ya'll! I'm new here so I hope I do this right. About me... I have been a nurse for about 4 years now and have experience in med surg, dialysis, ER , hospice and limited L&D experience. I worked in a small rural hospital and mostly worked the ER but you get experience with everything because of very limited staffing. You also get used to making do with old, nonworking, or nonexsistent equipment. Now I am on my very first travel assignment. So far it has been a great experience but I welcome any advice from those of you who are travelers.

I'm not sure if I'm responding to your comment in the right place! haha Gotta play around some and get used to the features of this site.. Yes they do, they'd be homesick without each other! My cat was a stray when I found him and brought him home.. Sissy barked at him and he hissed at her for awhile.. but after a week they were best buds, and have been for the last 7 years!

I am going to be starting travel nursing. I signed on with 3 companies. Two I think I am going to deal with. I have a hard time because it is strange for me to have to turn one down if I take an assignment with the other. This site was helpful because both companies got good reviews.
