New to Site

****o there nurses-

My name is Connor Bartley, I'm a big fan of the site, but this is my first post here. I have been frequenting this site for a while in order to research the different areas of the hospital and just learn some general information about nursing. I feel that it is important in my line of work to know what it is that you go through on a day to day basis. How certain things make you feel, how you joke, the wacky things that happen in your units and the reputations of other hospitals that are out there. All of this has been fascinating to me and for a while I didn't want to post just so I wouldn't disturb your culture, but I noticed that this site is accepting of recruiters and so I thought it wouldn't hurt to say ****o.

I work for Martin-Fletcher and Associates, a retained search firm located in Dallas, TX. Hospitals hire us to find them RNs for full-time, permanent positions only. I just started about two months ago so I'm still getting my feet wet, but this has been the most rewarding career I have involved myself in. I get to help nurses, who are in such high demand, find jobs that either offer them a more clear career path, better benefits, closer to home, or in the area that they are moving to for whatever reason. And of course in most cases I can get them more money, but it is refreshing to find that most nurses I talk to don't even mention money to me. They talk about caring for patients as their primary concern. I love that.

As a person who truly cares, I love working with others that feel the same way. So I just wanted to say ****o and let you know that I have and will continue to enjoy your posts. I learn something everyday from you guys and not just about the medical side of things, but about life in general. Thank you for your hard work, the world would not be the same without you.

Respectfully,

Connor Bartley

Re: New to Site

****o

My name is Paul, a new member on this wonderful site. I am a nurse here in the Philippines, a CGFNS and IELTS passer. I want to work in the US as a nurse. What is the best agency that can help me work abroad? What is the best place where a beginner like me can work? Please help.

Thank you very much.
