Surgical Staples

Hi! I had a laminectomy and a discectomy on my back last Tuesday. My surgeon will be removing my staples on Monday. My question is.....it feels like the staples are "coming out of my skin" by themselves. I know it might sound odd, but that's what it feels like. Is this a bad thing? Should I call my doctor or am I just overreacting? starlee45@hotmail.com

    Re: Surgical Staples

Call the office, contact the surgeon, contact the office nurse. I e-mailed you too, but for any other persons reading this, please know that it is unadvisable for nurses to give any medical advice to anyone. It can be misconstrued as practicing medicine which is against the law. Thanks for your understanding!
