Re: Nebraska is a Compact license state!

Criminy! What does this mean to me in the fact that I went per my nursing agency and held immunization clinics in Missouri and Kansas? Since my "boss" use to work for the BON in my state, I assumed (caught with my pants down) she would NOT put any of us at risk for these assignments. I love doing these clinics........but now think I 've been duped. My license is in Nebraska.

Re: Nebraska is a Compact license state!

Hey Levita,
That's too bad but at least nothing happened AND you found out for future reference. You have to watch out for these agencies that don't do their homework (i.e. no background checks, no reference checks etc) because they are probably cutting corners in other areas too- like sending you to a non-compact state! Yikes! Thank goodness Colorado just joined so that gives us IA, SD and CO on our borders for us to choose from! What's your specialty and I NEED to know which agency made such a terrible gamble with YOUR licensure!

Levita, I would really question a "boss" who would put you and your license at risk like that. I hope you don't still work for her!

Or is there any chance that the company would pay for your nursing licenses for those 2 states next time? (I know nothing about Travel Nursing, BTW)
