Will a recruiter please tell me whats going on

Having been a nurse for 15 years and having an extensive amount of experience, I have been told that I can not get a travel position in California because I have not had at least five travel positions. Why am I being judged on the number of experiences traveling rather than my overall experience? I have worked in difficult clinical settings am and told that is not good enough. The overall number of travel positions does not constitute success in my book. Some assignments are easier than others. This just doesn't seem fair.

Wow! I don't know what agency told you that, but I have been in contact with many agencies recently and none have ever mentioned the number of travel assignments I have done. I just did my first assignment and then an extension.
