what constitutes experience for traveling

My goal for a long time has been to travel, since my time in the Military I have always enjoyed traveling and moving to different locations. My question is this. I am getting mixed messages on what constitutes a year of experience. Is it a year from when you passed your boards or from when you started you job. Iworked for a couple of months before taking my boards so I'm not sure if those months count. Just for the record, I am currently working in a level 1 trauma center/ER. Any feedback would be appreciated.

you need a years work experience most places are asking for 2 years. where you work means nothing it's how long you've worked. and that is one years work experience some places level one trauma centers want 2 years.

ER Experience

Would be the experience that you have since accepting the job as an RN. For ICU and/or ER, I would strongly suggest 2 years of experience. I had 3 years of ER experience when I went on the road full time, and found some things very difficult in a "strange" place where I didn't know the physicians or other nurses as well.
