Wanting good travel company

OK, I have been reading tons of info on Travel Nursing and have compiled a list of 'Must Haves" before I can go.

1. Guaranteed hours
2. Overtime figured on hourly rate NOT "tax advantage"
rate
3. Honest/accessable/friendly recruiter who will work
hard to get me what I want
4. Health Insurance, that does not expire when I go home
for a few weeks between assignments
5. Short and Long Term Disability Insurance
6. Free Private (NICE) Housing...No Dumps, I live in a nice
house now and will not change...small is ok.
7. Assignments all over the entire US, incl. Alaska/Hawaii
8. Fair wages for area.....will NEVER work for $20.00/hr!

If your company fits the above, please contact me via e-mail Thanks

I can work Cardiac, Telemetry, Transitional Care Unit (can float to ICU andCCU if necessary), Home Health, Med/Surg and Newborn Nursury, also have Peds ICU experience, but its been a while

Re: Wanting good travel company

One thing to consider when looking at travel companies is whether or not they are national. It sounds kind of silly, but belive me it can save you a lot of frustration. I have done travel nursing for quite some time now and I have made the mistake working for some smaller shops and on a couple of occasions I have literally had to chase them for my paycheck. By working with a more substantial outfit, you usually have better benefits, more assignments to select from, and you have the luxury of knowing you will be paid and the check won't bounce.

I have had very positive experiences with Supplemental Health. Across the board, they are very professional and are attentive to my needs. I have also worked with Core Medical and find them to be pretty decent. I'm pretty sure Supplemental has offices in most major markets.
