Angry Traveling Advice Needed!!!!!

In March I traveled to California, with TRUSTAFF, as a strike nurse. It was extremely disorganized but we all survived. I was asked to stay over for an extra 2 weeks in case some of the nurses called in with the "blue flu". Apparently, my recruiter failed to let the hospital officially know I was there. The PACU staff knew unofficially I was still there but I did not work. I stayed an entire week. They are refusing to pay me for my week I stayed out there. Verbally, I was guaranteed 48 hours pay!!! Is there anything I can do??? No contract was signed.

Legally, if there was no contract signed, you don't have much to go on... Always get EVERYTHING in writing!

Okay- let's understand one thing- even without a contract they are on the hook- they paid you right? They still owe you right? Get the nurse manager that knew you were there to verify in writing and take them to the labor union and then email me and I will tell you more. Your word is your contract- paper is not always the bottom line- you were paid and they are wrong.
