    LPN or RN?

I am almost 26 yrs. old and married with a kid. Due to my husband working all over we move around alot. Right now it looks like the city we live in now, we may stay for awhile, giving me some time to go to nursing school. The schools here have the Adn program and the LPN program I have some credits for the LPn program so it would not take me long to finish. So, my question is which is better? LPN or RN I know money is involved in the answer, but when you move around alot and need to pay bills well I sure everyone understands that. What have some of you guys done out there? Any comments would really help.
    Thank you

If you have 2 years you can do the RN. 18 months for the LPN then you can sometimes transfer to finish RN just depends on the college. If you know the money answer then RN is the way to go and either can move with you just more opportunities for RN's. Read all over the board there's lots of talk on the subject.

Either way you'll need to stay in place for at least two years. My feelings are that if you're going to go through the "hell" of nursing school, why do it twice.

Do the RN and get it overwith.

You can find a whole section on the lpn/rn discussion here:

    Hope that helps.
