Relatively new nurse looking for employment

Hi, I hope someone can help me. I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in December, 2007. I have been working in an assisted living home as a nurse. They also use me as an aide. The opportunities for me to use my skills, knowledge, and for me to grow professionally are just not there. Hospitals in my area are not hiring or are looking for nurses with 3-5 years experience. I am looking for a hospital position. I am willing to relocate anywhere. Please help me

Have you considered a career in travel nursing? Cirrus Medical Staffing's website has a list of travel nursing jobs that you can browse by state.

I hope this helps! Good luck in your search.

Rebecca, if you read the original post, she states that she has no hospital experience, but is looking to switch to hospital-based nursing. If Cirrus is willing to place a nurse with no hospital experience into a hospital as a traveler, then I would advise all other travelers to stay away- very irresponsible of a travel company!

If you have an idea where you may want to move then check
ON-LINE the hospitals in that area their employment/career opportunities and apply on line. Most hospitals have relocation $.
Also check nursing magazines for jobs?
What state do you live?

Just another thought. Nurse Spectrum magazine on line has all states with available jobs.
