| I recently began considering travel nursing. My experience is primarily in Rehab.; however, 3 yrs. ago I began work on a very busy med. surg unit. I was telephoned the other day by a nurse mgr. in Maui (of course I chose Hawaii as my first experience) offering me a job. I unfortunately had to decline after learning that there is no public transportation, and this particular recruiter only mentioned housing, suprisingly low pay, and no transportation included. Please tell me this is not the norm. Wanna be in TX. PS...I have over 22 yrs. experience, and am also curious about a travel buddy in the future. xxx My son is just out of highschool, and will be traveling with me initially. |

| Junior Member | Re: new and confused Hi there, Have you considered Australia as an option for your little venture? If so, I may be able to help you out with a nursing job. Facitlites and transportation here is pretty good and I'm sure your son will find no problems schooling here too (if that's intended that is). Feel free to email at slyntan@gmail.com Cheers, LynT |

| Hi there - not sure if you are still confused but j.i.c. - HI is known for very low pay. They don't have to pay b/c people want to go there. Unfortunately TX can still be low, but not HI low!! I would love to discuss TX positions with you - also, would you ever consider CA? Could get you a great high paying job there (mid 40's) and it's a walk through state so licensure is a snap! Give me a call if you are interested!! Sara Welte Recruiter TravelMax Medical Professionals sarwelte@travmax.com (888) 800 - 1855 fax: (800) 294 - 1248 |
