Are there any traveling companies that hire new LPN graduates? If anyone knows of any in Kansas, Missouri or Oklahoma, I sure would appreciate them letting me know.

I recently graduated as an LPN from the Mary Grimes School of Nursing in Chanute Kansas. I will take my state boards in a few weeks. Do you know of any travel opputunities available in Missouri, Kansas or Northeastern Oklahoma?
Do you hire GPN's and do you have a buddy system?

I am not a recruiter. I'm sorry I don't know of any opps you might be looking for.. But I can tell you to stay away from Ready Recruit..They have burnt many travel nurses.

Thanks, do you know where I could find someplace. I have tried looking and I think my eyes are crossed now. Most of them I have seen want at least one year's experience.

I certainly wouldn't travel without a year's experience. You have to hit the floor running and being productive..On a recent assignment I was told, "There's the med room.. Good luck"

WanderingRN,
I have seen your responses frequently and find you to be very knowledgeable. So, maybe you can enlighten me a little. I am an LPN with 12 years experience and am looking for a change but my biggest concern is not having a good company behind me. Also do you know the possibility of not having another assignment once you have completed one? Does that happen? The 2 companies I've been in contact with are Clinical One & Core Medical Group.
Any input from anyone would be appreciated.
