Exclamation Looking for Denver, Co opportunities

Myself and a traveling friend are searching for assingments in the Denver, CO (or w/in 30 min. of). I have 2.5 yrs med/surg/ortho exp. (1yr LPN/1.5yrs RN), BLS/ACLS cert. She has 4+ yrs exp. as an RN speacializing in L&D with numerous certs. We have a desire to work at the same hospital but realize that may just be too wishfull! We both are licensed in Colorado and Kansas. This would be our first travel assignment. We have been in contact with several travel companies so far and typically get pay rates ranging from $24-28/hr (she on the higher end) with most of the typical percs companies offer. I'm told Colorado is on the lower end as far as rates are concerned, but I do my homework and know what the hospitals start there nurses at and feel that we are being "taken for a ride". Likewise, all of the travelers I talk to literally laugh at me when I tell them of the proposed pay. We would be ready to start 10/6/08. Any suggestions please reply!!
