| Just curious........ I am an emergency nurse - Advanced Practice LPN - with over 15 years in the ED. I am trained in IV's, phlebotomy and have taken TNCC (altho they don't certify LPN's), taken many additional training and trauma classes. I am looking at probably retiring sometime in the next 10 years or so. What are the chances of someone with my training obtaining travel nursing positions in the emergency department realm of temporary positions? |

| Re: Just curious........ Most hospitals look for RN's for their ER roles. There are a few companies that place LPN's, but they are fairly rare (there isn't much money in these type of roles). If you want to travel, obtaining an RN would pay off immediately. Hope this helps. |
