The inside of todays travel nursing

If time that you hear from the recruiters side to know the inside story. Although about 40%-50% of the recruiters that have had 5 years or less experience, have lost their jobs to the economy. It's a tough hardened job market. Here are the facts as I see them-
Fact-
Posting a job- last 3 min-2 hours average.
Don't have a license for that state- mostly cannot submit
Don't have all the QA- you tie our hands and cannot be submitted many systems require all papers
Don't want to fill out the application completely because it's too much work- do not travel
40-60% of the hospitals still have a hiring freeze and will not add travelers just per diem.
Not communicating or answering your recruiters call to you? Do not start travel period. We have a short window of time.
Have not told your recruiter to submit you to any place that has been defined without calling you first- forget travel- we have no time to act.
Will there be more jobs this winter- yes but the winter season will start late.
Want to be sight defined- like I have to get here- do not travel- cannot promise.
Years ago the travel market nurse was sent somewhere because there was a need. Today they are back in control and can name the price and control what you do and when you do it

FACT- with the swi- flu have a get affect on this- Yes and then the control may be in for a surprise. Just me 2 cents over 20 years and still working!
Need lots of money in today's market? Salary roll backs have been huge.
If you are asked to extend- stay there and keep the bird in the hand- it's a safer bet!
Looking for 48 hours plus- no not travel stay perm
Wanting to go AZ-FL this season- think again
Winter season- you do not wish to work 2 holidays- do not travel- you will not be working you the traveler are not in control the hospitals are.
