| How do I get started working as an RN? This might be a little unusual but here goes. I just recently took my boards for the first time and passed. Whew! However, I graduated in 1997. I did not take the boards up until now, due to the fact that I was pregnant, had a baby, and became pregnant all over again. {Was not paying too much attention during OB-GYN semester} Since my husband had a job which involved traveling, I thought it would be best to wait a little on the nursing and be a stay at home mom. I am now ready to start working, {husband works local} and am trying to break into the field. Any advise, would be greatly appreciated. In the meantime, I did volunteer work in the local fire dept as an EMT and Emergency Preparedness training, which did help me to keep my basic skills and assessment abilities. Thanks again, for any help. |
