I have 10 years of experience as an RN, 5 in pediatrics and 5 in NICU (level III). I have accepted a position at Children's San Diego in their NICU starting July 10th. Why so far down the road? My lease in Texas ends in July. I would like to get to CA before then, and the only way I can do that is through a travel assignment (because I can pay my rent in Texas and use the housing provided). I know that CHSD is using travelers and if anyone has an assignment there, I'm sure they'd take me at that facility since they already know me (did 6 month travel assignment there last winter). But the catch is my travel contract can't have a clause in it forbidding me to work at the facility after my travel contract ends, because I've already been offered a job there. I'm also interested in Level II assignments or assignments at other facilities in San Diego. I'm currently doing agency in Dallas and am flexible to my start dates. Would like a minimum of 13 weeks, but ideally would like one that starts sometime this month or next month and ends at the end of June. Whew! Please write to me at paigeleigh2@yahoo.com. Thanks, Paige
