Yes, LVN/LPN's can travel. Their opportunities aren't as great as RN's of course. But many do.

As for traveling as a new grad, I wouldn't advise it. You don't/won't get much orientation. You are expected to hit the floor running. You have to know your "stuff" and that's really not probsble as a new grad.

Get your year or two of experience and then travel. You'll be glad you did.

If a company offers you a job without experience they aren't doing you any favors.

Good luck

Re: Can LVN's Travel??

Hello,

We do get LPN needs from time to time. I just received one in N. Montana today. Most facilities do want at least 1 yr experience.

What is your specialty? We staff dialysis facilities as well, and ocassionally we need LPN's (LVN"S).

Below is our contact info if you would like to keep us in mind after you gain experience.

Best Wishes,

Debra Cunningham

Re: Can LVN's Travel??

I've seen alot of LVN/LPN assignments myself . In CA I believe they use them or LPT's in Psych. May have more luck with Per Diem Companies with Travel Divisions like Nurse Finders, Maxim, Favorite Nurses,

CJ Jones RN Traveler www.TravelNurseToolbox.com :luck:
