|  Best speciality area Hello, I will be graduating soon and would like to do travel nursing after gathering experience. What is the specialty area that has the most openings? I am currently thinking about Cardiac Medicine/Surgery or Labor and Delivery. One travel nurse that I have spoken with is discouraging me from labor and delivery travel nursing. What are your thoughts? |

Mood:  | Re: Best speciality area I can't speak on the travel market for cardiac med-surg but I can say as a labor and delivery RN who traveled for 3 yrs, that I didn't encounter any problems in getting the city and/or pay that I wanted. Now that the economy has taken a down turn, its a little different as I'm sure it is for all specialities.... but I encourage you to do labor and delivery if its what you think you might I enjoy. I've been working as one for over 5 years now and haven't regretted it!  Please don't hesitate to message me if you have any more questions but I hope this helped. |
