I am an RN currently living in Indiana. I want to reactivate my Iowa nursing license, as I am considering a move back to the state to work. Where do I go, online, to get CEU's that will be accepted by Iowa? Time is of the essence, as a job is waiting. Any help that anyone may be able to give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Cand (aka cat mom)

Re: Where to Get Iowa CEU's You can also obtain CE from ANY provider who is accredited by ANCC (American Nurses Credentialing Center) and their credits work anywhere in the USA. In Indiana, you could look to: Goshen General Hospital, Indiana State Univeristy -- School of Nursing, Indiana University and Sigma Theta Tau (the Honor Society for Nursing) -- Alpha Chapter is located at I.U. All of these places provide CE and are ANCC accredited providers. --p

Re: Where to Get Iowa CEU's I too have a Iowa license and a Indiana license and live in Indiana. I have found that Iowa is fairly liberal on your CEU requirements and they accepted all my online CEU and Medscape is where I got most of them. I printed them off and submitted them to them when I reactivated my license and they accepted them all with no problems. Contacting them for the exact amounts you must have to reactivate and double checking that they will still accept them is not a bad idea, but I just did this in Feb. 2006 and had no difficulties. Good luck.
