Hello!

My name is Anna, I'm an RN from Illinois, specializing in surgery. I've been a nurse since 1998, worked a couple years as surgical staff, and then hit the road traveling. I LOVE it! Change seems to agree with me, I thrive on it.

Since I have a couple kids, I travel close to home, mostly, and haven't had any trouble finding positions that suit my needs. I did spend one summer out in Santa Barbara, and that was fabulous. I do intend to do some "real" traveling once my boys are settled, but until then I'll stick with the local traveling -- if that makes sense.

Glad to find this site, I've been wondering if there was somewhere on here for travelers to compare notes, work out problems, etc. I especially like the review section, helpful to know what companies have been problematic for contract nurses.

I graduated from Lewis & Clark Community College in Godfrey, IL. Very nice facility with a terrific nursing program.

Hi Anna! Did you work in Santa Barbara, too? I lived there for a couple of years and loved it, but then moved to Michigan for nursing school. I've been wanting to go back to SB ever since, and have been eyeing the hospitals there. I'm interested in hearing about your experience :houra:
