I am currently an RN student, enrolled in my third semester; Adults Health II. I have already completed OB/PEDs. I'm making the 'grades', however, I am having difficulty in the clinical setting, due to major financial and personal issues. I have made the decision to withdraw this semester because of these issues.
Although, I am able to put aside the personal issues, the financial issues just aren't going away. Most weeks I'm scratching for pennies to put gas in my vehicle to make it to school.
I spoke with one of my fellow students and she said that since I have completed OB/PEDs that I should be able to challenge the board for my LPN licensing.
What does 'challenging' the board mean? Does that mean I wouldn't take the LPN licensing exam? I have no problem taking the exam and I know I would pass it, however, I don't have a degree or a certificate of any kind.
Could someone please tell me what my options are? I live in Florida.
Thank you so much!
Tammy
