My fiance' and I are currently on assignment as ER nuses in Kissimmee,FL..at Osceola Regional Medical Center..As seasoned travel nurses..with alot of experience..(almost 50 years between us), all we can say is BEWARE!! The Hospital is nice..most of your co-workers welcome you...BUT..It is an HCA facility...(RED FLAG). The ER is VERY short staffed...we were hired as "fast track" nurses..but for 11 weeks out of 13, we were not in fast track..no big deal. HCA ,in our opinion and others who are permanent employees there, is only interested in numbers through the ER..not the staff, the patient care, the doctors...no one! The management actually have the ability to sit at home and monitor the patient trackers in the ER, and then had the nerve to call from home and ask why the patients have not moved...They are constantly in the ER..over your back..pushing a staff that is already short staffed. They have put acute patients in halls with no monitors..on nitro drips, etc with no monitors...Please be careful about accepting a position at this facility...YOUR LICENSE IS IN JEOPARDY, in my opinion.Also...this area is very high volume because of Disney World...traffic is horrendous..crime is high..lets just say you really need to be bilingul in this town..so bone up on your spaqnish...we ahve worked for other HCA facilities..some are better..none have been worse!

I am also in Kissimmee, however I was lucky enough to land at Orlando Regional Health Care, it is a level one trauma center and is truly awesome.
I also agree with the location being overcrowded and crime striken; with upcoming hurricane season in effect, fires, and love bugs I can't wait to head back home.
