| New Travel Nurse here! Hidee ho, fellow nurses! I'm Jessica! My just finishing my first travel assignment in Seattle, WA. I love it here, and renewed my 6 month contract to a 12 month. April is one full year here, and since the hospital is losing mega bucks with their home hospice program, they won't renew any travelers contracts. So--I'm off to San Jose, CA in April!!! I work through Medical Express and absolutely love them. My recruiter rocks! No BS, gets back to me immediately with answers to my questions, and she's just plain on top of everything going on. I'd refer anyone who is thinking about traveling to give her a buzz. I'm here in Washington and met and married my soul mate! How's that for a fringe benefit!! I sure wasn't looking, but somehow the love of my life was here waiting for me. I could write a book on how tremendous my experience with travel nursing has been, :houra: but I won't bore you with details. Anyone who has questions or wants to discuss what it's like to do home hospice nursing, or just shoot the breeze about the very different way of life we live, email me anytime! Jessica |

My wife & I moved to the South Puget Sound area last March and the summer's here are outstanding! BTW, how many times have you been to Pikes Market Place? ![]() |

| Re: New Travel Nurse here! I loved it here in Seattle. I never got to Pike ST market mostly because the parking there sucks! I had patients who lived in that area and it was just impossible to get to them! I did however, move to Edmonds and I've spent lots of time in downtown Edmonds near the ferries and the water. It's beautiful. How are you and your wife liking it here. Yes! The summers are wonderful. I have to admit, I am over the rainy stuff... And I had no idea it got so cold here. Not at all like my hometown of Milwaukee, WI where it's nothing to be 30 degrees below zero windchill---but I'd homped for a very mild winter here. Take care and thanks for responding, Jessica

Glad to have you with us, though. I have quite a few residents on Hospice; if I wasn't in LTC, I'd probably go into Hospice nursing. 'Cat' |
