| New to Travel and New to NYC So, I've just relocated with my husband to NYC and wanted to wait until we got here before I started looking for a travel assignment. Our move is temporary and we'll be back home in January of 09. Since I've been in NY with my NY license I've started talking with Cross Country and American Mobile. They claim they only had med surg night positions which is NOT what I want. I'm a step down nurse with two years experience and don't want to go to the nightmare that can be the med-surg floor. I've also been looking at per diem jobs in NYC at many hospitals and have found the application process to be brutal and very impersonal. Many of online programs have been crashing when I fill out the forms and there are no contact numbers for me to follow up with in HR. Is there anyone out there who has worked in NYC that can give me a little guidance? I would just like to start working. Anything would help! |
