    Re: random urines

I've forgotten twice. I call as soon as I can to inform my case manager. Once I forgot on a Saturday so I couldn't call til Monday. If we forget to call on a weekend, we are chosen on Monday. My case manager said that everyone forgets now and then but if it becomes regular, that would be a violation of our contract. On the Saturday I forgot I panicked until I knew there wasn't anything I could do about it. Finally I came to the realization that I'm sure I wasn't the first and I wouldn't be the last who forgot. Now I keep a reminder note in my purse that I see every morning. Take care.

I've forgotten to call several times. I called as soon as I remembered. There are usually no penalties unless you are chosen to test on a day that you forget to call. To help me to remember, I have written a note in dry erase marker on my mirror. I see it when I wake up.

It really deoends on what your contract says - I seen people here in california who have been put back in treatment for failing to call in - they call it relapse behavior! Any breach of your contract can cause you problems so the best policy is to find a way not to forget. I have an alarm on my cel phone that reminds me everyday.

    Re: random urines

Is there a random pattern to random urines( geesh that sounds lame) for the first month nothing then every week now . I thought it was twice a month. I can not afford this test every week. Any thoughts?

    Re: random urines

My experience is that the testing truly is random and they have increased the frequency with my returning to work (1-2 times a month) to returning to patient care (2-3 times a month) to having my narcotic restriction lifted (3-5 times a month). I tested 37 times in 2006.
I have known people that have appealed for a decrease in testing for financial reasons and those people were granted a decrease in frequency.

    Good luck to you!!

Thank You for your response, I am not working, probably will be late fall before I can get ok to return to work. I think if I was back at work at least I would at least some money to pay for these screens I am actually dreading when the charges hit my account. I have contacted my monitor to ask about affording all these screens..

    Thanks again
