New member.

Hi everyone. I am a registered nurse in Australia Sydney working in a Neurosurgical/Plastics ward for the past two years.Prior to that I worked in Psychiatry, admission and Picu units for twelve years. I am married to a beautiful woman and have two lovely little ones 7 and 5 years. We hope to come to the USA and rather than go down the road of glossy brochures I would like to find out about Nursing in USA and life in general from real people.Hope you all have a good day.Stay safe. Kaal.

You will indeed have to get that sense of nursing here in the states as you begin your practice. It will bring some disadvantages and advantages as opposed to your home. Overall, I would welcome the negatives and the positives and build from that. Negatives should help up move in a stronger direction and positives should keep us looking to strive for more knowledge and to keep us humble.

Welcome!

Welcome, kaal, glad to meet you! When do you expect to come 'up and over'?
